"For as long as I can remember, I've had a desire to make and design things, referred to as a composer of never ending ideas and continual exploration. When painting I let the elements guide me. Certain pieces can carry me through an entire night, each stroke empowering each hour feeling like a second."
Born and raised in Vancouver, she has been working in the arts since she was a little girl. She worked for decades as an ER nurse but creativity has always been a part of her life.
Known as the Gold Artist to some, she incorporates gold and other metals in many of her pieces. Her recent Wildlife Series was inspired after returning from Africa with an exciting compilation of photos. Other series includes familiar places and things in BC. Her railways and structures are portrayed beyond a realistic viewpoint and many times you will find hidden phrases, equations or a hint of gold. Over the decades she has curated several galleries, shows and events.
She has done both solo and group shows across the continent, including one in New York City. She has been the recipient of numerous awards of recognition and remains an Active Member with the Federation of Canadian Artists, WAC, AiOM and other creative societies.
She continues to strive to make a difference in this world.
Here I am at the age of 9 working on my first big piece.
